There will be 5-year age groups beginning with 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, etc. and ending with 70+ for male and female individuals. Each Age-Group Champion will receive a TRI for FUN Champion Hat.

| Summer Duathlon Series: |
Now you can Run-Bike-Run at the TRI for FUN! For all the non-swimmers, you can now participate in a Duathlon for Fun with our Summer Duathlon Series. The race will begin with a three mile run, then a 16-mile bike, and finally a three mile run again. Race starts at 8 am - mass start.
3 mile run * 16 mile road bike * 3 mile run duathlon
Bike - You will exit the transition area and then mount your bike. From there you will exit the park and make a right hand turn on Hwy 104, making a U-turn at the turn around point and returning to the park. Please be careful while on the road. Riders must stay to the right at all times! Riders must not draft other riders: You must maintain at least THREE bike length at all times behind the rider in front of you, and you MUST ride single file while on the Highway. Passing is allowed in a timely manner when it is safe to do so. After passing return to the right side of the road and continue to ride safely. Failure to do so will result in a drafting penalty or disqualification. Crossing the centerline at ANY time will also result in disqualification. Proceed to the turn around on Hwy 104 and return to the park. Traffic has the right-of-way on the road so ride CAREFULLY
Run - The 3-mile run course leaves transition and runs - aid stations that will be stocked with water, Clif Electrolyte Beverage, and Clif Shot Energy gels. The finish is back at the start area at the Beach. |

| Relay: |
Entry Fees: $100 until race day, $120 on race day.
The race will start at 8 am. There will be six waves, each 5 minutes apart. Relay teams will start in Wave 6 at 8:30.
Relay Team divisions are Male, Female and Coed, with a relay team consisting of two or three athletes. Relay Teams consist of a swimmer, biker, and runner. The first tag will take place in the RELAY BOX in the transition area. The biker must have his bike racked in the Relay Section and be standing in the RELAY BOX. There will also be a tag-option at the swim exit. You may use your runner to tag the swimmer at the swim exit and then run up and tag the biker in the RELAY BOX. The biker must re-rack their bike in the original location and then tag the runner in the RELAY BOX. |

Swim - The race will begin with the .5-mile swim from the swim area. The swim course will be a triangular course in Rancho Seco Lake marked by the large RedBull buoys. Water temperature should be approximately 70 degrees. Wetsuits are allowed . The swim exit will be up the beach and on a grassy path to the transition area located in the parking area.
Bike - You will exit the transition area and then mount your bike. | Transition Area Access: |
The transition area at all TBF Racing events is for athletes only. All non-athletes must remain outside of the transition area at all times on race day. Athletes may choose their transition spot from any of the non-reserved racks - reserved racks will be marked for Tri Clubs. Glass or bottles are not allowed in the transition area. |

| Bodymarking: |
Bodymarking will be take place at the entrance to the transition area and must be completed before you enter the transition area. Athletes will have their race number marked on their legs and arms and have their age division on their calf. |

| Rules and Regulations: |
Swim Course - The wave start times and the age groups in each wave will be posted at Registration and the start area on Saturday morning.
Bike Course - ALL athletes MUST wear a helmet the entire time while riding their bikes. Failure to have your helmet on, or buckled at any time on the bike will result in DISQUALIFICATION. This includes while riding your bike in or out of the transition area.
Run Course - Run numbers must be worn on the run and when crossing the finish line.
General rules - Numbers must be placed on your bike and worn on the run. Drafting is not allowed on the bike course. Riding your bike will NOT be allowed in the transition area. No glass will be allowed in the transition area.
Use of headphones or other listening devices during ALL portions of the race ARE NOT ALLOWED.
Safety is our and your first concern, be aware of all traffic and cyclists while riding. Upon re-entering the park proceed to the transition area. There will be DISMOUNT line where all cyclists must dismount their bike before entering the transition area. Please re-rack your bicycle in the SAME spot and proceed on to the run.
ALL athletes are required to wear an ANSI approved bicycle helmet during the entire bike course. Athletes will NOT be allowed to proceed on the bike course without a helmet. The helmet must be securely fastened the entire time you are on your bike. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. |

| Finish Line: |
After crossing the finish line please take a cold water or Clif Shot Recovery Drink and Vitamin Water and continue walking to allow your body to cool down. You should remain active for 10 to 15 minutes while you are drinking and re-fueling your body. If you need medical attention or are feeling unwell please proceed to the TBF Medical Tent or notify a TBF Volunteer that you need medical attention. |

| Packet Pick-up: |
Packets may be picked up the Friday before each TRI for FUN at Fleet Feet Sports at 8128 Madison Avenue in Fair Oaks from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Race packets will be available race morning from 6:30 am to 7:45 am at the race site. The race will start promptly at 8:00 am. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time for entrance to the park, parking, transition set-up and warm-up. Your entry fee into the park is included in your Race entry fee.
For athletes registering online using Active.com during race week, your race packet will NOT be available at Fleet Feet Sports if you registered on Thursday or Friday and you will need to pick it up at the race on race morning.
If you have already picked up your race packet on Friday you do not need to check in again at registration on Saturday morning. The transition area will be on a first-come basis and will be secured to athletes only. Please ask your family and friends to remain outside the transition area while you set up your transition, the transition area is for Athletes Only. |

We will have three Chanoko Kids Duathlons (with a 2 mile run and a 5 mile mt bike) & Trail Runs on February 3 , February 24 and March 17 as part of the Chanoko Duathlons. We will host the Roseville Schools 5k Fun Run in April that will benefit the schools of Roseville.
Our 2007 TRI for KIDS will be now be a three-race series in June , July and August on the same day as the TRI for REALs. These fun races at Rancho Seco Park will feature a swim of 150 meters, a 4 mile bike and a 1-mile run for athletes 11 to 14 years of age. There will be a shorter swim for the athletes 7-10. |

Refund and Transfer Policy: |
TBF Racing has a No Refund policy on all of our events. A Refund requested prior to race week will be given a TBF Race credit for the amount of the entry fee minus $25 processing fee. Credits will not be given during race week.
Transfers will be allowed from one TBF Racing event to another within a one-year time frame. There will be a $25 transfer fee. Transfers will not be allowed during race week. |
