AOW EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: MICHELLE WOLFF

AOW caught up with the stunning Michelle Wolff in San Francisco over the weekend. Michelle currently stars in the new provocative series "Dante's Cove" and just landed a role in one of my favorite shows "Nip/Tuck".

For those of you who have not heard of Dante's Cove, you are missing out. The music alone is worth watching the series. Dante's Cove is a peaceful beach side town filled with sexy, young residents who are plunged into a world of intrigue, secrets and shifting romantic ties. Sounds like every day life in the burbs right? Except for this town has a supernatural past with villains from the 18th century lurking around. One thing is for sure, if all the creepiness doesn't make you short of breath, there are plenty of steamy scenes guaranteed to take your breath away. For a peek at Season Two, visit the here! tv web site , you will see what all the hype is about.

Michelle is not in season one of Dante's Cove, but I recommend you add it to you queue, it is worth watching. Michelle also stars in "Mango Kiss" which is also available on DVD, and well worth watching. For a synopsis or to view the trailer visit the Mango Kiss web site .

INTERVIEW WITH MICHELLE WOLFF

AOW: Which character has been your favorite to play and why?

WOLFF: Honestly, I don't know that I have a favorite. I only want to do roles that speak to me in some way. That I feel have something to say. There are favorite things about lots of roles. Lou from "Mango Kiss" was so much fun and the arc she traveled was amazing to find in myself. Julie, my character in "Crimetime" was another challenging one. It was a true story about an innocent woman who was convicted of killing her son. Wow, was that an emotional ride, and playing a real person presents it's own challenges, so that was another good one. And of course Brit from "Dante's Cove", those are a few but not even close to all the favorite parts of characters.

AOW: "Nip/Tuck" is one of my guilty pleasures, how did you land that role?

WOLFF: It's all about the audition baby. It turned out I knew the writer of the episode and the director had directed an episode of "Boston Public" I was in, so that never hurts. But if you are right and what they want then it all comes together. It is one of my favorite shows to watch, so it is always fun landing those roles.

AOW: What lessons can you share with us?

WOLFF: Don't leave your dog home alone when you haven't put away the last bag of groceries.

Bailey the culprit with Wolff

AOW: What do you dream about?

WOLFF: Sleep dream? Day dream? Life Dreams? Get back to me on that one.

AOW: Would you say you are a disciplined person?

WOLFF: Yes, definitely. I have to be, I juggle lots of things in my life and I can't afford a personal assistant to help! I also am very disciplined about staying in shape. That is my job. I can't afford to let myself go because that is part of the work. I am lucky that I don't need a ton of sleep because I get up early and pretty much am going until late, so discipline is very important.

AOW: What is a typical day for you?

WOLFF: I don't think I have one. Honestly, every one is different. It will always involve making the bed, walking the dog, eating, sleeping, working out, showering, maybe some laundry, checking myspace and emails. Pretty regular stuff. Sometimes auditioning or shooting or doing interviews or something like that will squeeze it's way in. You never know.

AOW: What is your favorite place to visit?

WOLFF: My house! Ha!, No, I have lots of favorite cities, San Francisco, New York, Miami, Florence, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris....lots. I love to travel.

AOW: Are you in a relationship?

WOLFF: Yes

AOW: Tell us one thing that would be a surprise.

WOLFF: I am a big geek, really.

AOW: Complete the following:

  • Childhood Ambition:
    • To be an actor and be cool. One of two isn't bad.
  • Fondest Memory:
    • Too many to count, probably one with my dad in it though.
  • Favorite Soundtrack:
    • Um, what about favorite artist?
  • Favorite Artist:
    • Julie Neumark
  • Wildest Dream:
    • I don't really remember my dreams all that well, probably better that way.
  • Proudest Moment:
    • When my dad told me he was proud of me.
  • Biggest Challenge:
    • Staying honest and clear and in the moment even when it isn't easy.
  • Perfect Day:
    • Hmm. Would probably involve my girl and a beautiful bottle of red wine.
  • First Job:
    • Straw Hat Pizza. FYI, never order sausage on a pizza. Take it from someone who knows.
  • Indulgence:
    • Insanely good meals at insanely good, insanely expensive restaurants. I am a bit of a snob when it comes to that. Can't do it often for a few reasons, but will indulge every now and then. I am a master at creating the perfect bite and ordering the perfect wine.
  • Last Purchase:
    • Dog food and treats for Bailey.
  • Inspiration:
    • All around me.
  • My Life:
    • Perfectly imperfect. Blessed.

After interviewing Michelle, I just want to watch everything she is in. She is blessed with naturally good looks a modest attitude and a warm and inviting personality. Kudos to her for giving us girls something to look forward to on film. For more pictures of Michelle check out her web site.
