Adventure Out Women was founded in 2006. AOW is an online portal that brings women together providing them with valuable information on health and fitness and important news that explore the depth and variations of our community.

Like the name implies, AOW is a dynamic group that goes beyond the Internet by providing business networking, social activities, special events and healthy and productive outdoor and recreational adventures throughout California year-round.

In a short time, we have built a large database of professionals who generously share their insights, resources and expertise with us on a regular basis. The database continues to grow. At AOW, we believe there is strength in numbers and the influences of these professionals is of great value to us all. That’s why AOW has the ability to offer many services to women – because of the many sponsors and supporters who share in our beliefs.

We are committed to inspiring others around the globe, and interested in addressing issues that are important to all of us. With a web presence we hope to provide a voice and dispel myths that exist within and outside of the community today. We are also striving to change the stereotypical representations of women that are prevalent today.

Along with raising our community’s consciousness, AOW raises funds to support charities in need. In December AOW collected new toys, books and board games for the "Strategies for Change" organization.
